Sky News host Rita Panahi says the crime crisis in Alice Springs is “only getting worse”. The Northern Territory government is going to impose a curfew on all aged under 18 in the entire CBD of Alice Springs. The curfew comes after violence erupted in Alice Springs where hundreds of people were involved in riotous behaviour which left buildings and cars damaged and forced workers to barricade themselves inside. The youth curfew will run for 14 days, from 6pm to 6am, and will be happening during Easter as well as the school holiday period. Ms Panahi said there has been “some really sickening violence” that has taken place in Alice Springs.
